Jean Driescher

Jean is a clay artist with a specialty in surface design on hand-built clay forms. Jean was an art educator for 20 + years, teaching high school art classes in Phoenix Arizona.  She has spent recent years in retirement teaching art and clay classes to youth and adults in Arizona and at her summer home in Darby, Montana.  She has taught art classes for Youth at the Darby Community Library and the MSU Extension 4|H program in the summers. At her Phoenix home she was a member of the Clay Corner, a nonprofit studio located at Sun City, AZ. There she taught adults various clay techniques including coiling, hand building and Scrafitto techniques.  She is a member of Artists Along the Bitterroot and volunteers at the Montana Bliss Artworks Gallery in Hamilton, Mt.  As a member of AAB she participated as a Residency Artist for the Youth Art in Action Program. It is her goal to work with all ages of youth and adults and provide a developmentally appropriate and enjoyable art experience. Through her own demonstrating and group discussions of history and aesthetics of art the, her students will be able to design, prepare and create a work of art.
